The UK Public Administration Association (UKAPA) is a new learned society developed to promote public administration, public management public policy and the study of governance. Formerly the Joint University Council’s Public Administration Committee (JUCPAC) which held over a century’s experience in representing the discipline, UKAPA will continue the respected work of JUCPAC, though the promotion, development and coordination of work in higher education institutions involved in education, training and research in public administration public policy and allied subjects. Its activities will include an annual conference; research seminars; the publication of research work; and advising government, Parliament, and other public bodies.
