Dual Applications
In exceptional cases applicants may apply for both the Research and Research Seminar Series grants. In such cases, applicants should clearly articulate how the research grant and seminar series grant will be linked and the additional benefit that will be gained from combining the two funds. Following the completion of the research, a report should be sent to the UKAPA Executive through the VCs for Research. With regard to outputs, successful applicants may also consider submitting a paper based on their research to either of the UKAPA journals Public Policy and Administration (PPA) or Teaching Public Administration (TPA).

In cases of overspend, this will need to be covered by the host institution.
Funding is provided to cover research and related costs only. Funds should not be used to support buy-out of teaching or other duties and should not be used for the purchase of equipment. The funding is provided for travel and accommodation costs relating to the completion of data collection and for services such as data transcription that relate specifically to the completion of primary research. It is expected that the host institution will provide appropriate equipment and support to complete the research.
