UKAPA 2025 Conference

UKAPA annual conference Ulster University~ Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK Thursday 11 – Friday 12 September 2025 (& Doctoral Conference, Wednesday 10 September 2025)

UKAPA colleagues and friends! The Executive Committee of the United Kingdom Association for Public Administration (UKAPA) has agreed that its second annual conference will be hosted by Ulster University.

Convenors

Professors Paul Carmichael and Karl O’Connor will serve as co-convenors for the conference. The main conference will be held at the Belfast campus and run from Thursday 11 to Friday 12 September, with the conference dinner arranged for the Thursday evening at our Academy Restaurant.

The Frank Stacey Memorial Lecture

Accommodation

A ‘hold’ has been placed on rooms at a nearby hotels with discounted rates though, as in Birmingham, participants will be expected to make their own arrangements for accommodation and travel. Find out how to book >>

Registration and participation

PRICE FREEZE – We have made a commitment to peg registration prices for the event at the 2024 rate, mindful of the pressures on budgets. Participation can take the form of panel chair, paper giver, panel organiser as well as joining the audience for the various sessions throughout the event. Read more >>
