The UK Association for Public Administration (UKAPA) awards a small yearly Research Grant of £2000. This funding is open to individual members and member institutions of the UKAPA. Funds can be used to support primary research on topics of direct relevance to public administration, public management and public governance and public policy.
The findings of funded research should be promoted via our VCs for Research, our members and social media. All UKAPA members and member institutions (including doctoral researchers) are eligible to apply for the funds. Applications should cover any topic relating to contemporary challenges facing public administration and allied areas.
Following completion of the research, a report should be sent to the UKAPA Executive through the VCs for Research.
Successful applicants may also consider submitting a paper based on their research to either of the PAC journals Public Policy and Administration (PPA) or Teaching Public Administration (TPA).
